Professional Designations

The Securities & Insurance Licensing Association (SILA) is pleased to offer a professional designation program to our members. The purpose of this program is twofold. The first goal is to provide an educational framework for compliance professionals. This will ensure a continued high standard of quality and excellence in our profession. SILA has developed five (5) courses to accomplish this goal.

Secondly, the SILA Designation Program creates recognition for individuals in the profession who have attained excellence. When candidates meet these stringent requirements, they will be eligible to add the appropriate acronym (SILA-A or SILA-F) after their name. They also will receive a handsome certificate or plaque (depending upon the designation earned) to display in the office.

It is the intention of the SILA Board of Directors and Education Committee that these designations become symbols of excellence, experience and education to the licensing and securities community. Those who bear SILA-A or SILA-F after their name will be set apart as the most excellent and competent professionals in the field of financial services.

SILA CERTIFICATION

SILA offers a Certification program to individuals who wish to increase their knowledge of the licensing and compliance industry. These courses are available to SILA members and non-members. Many companies have incorporated this training program within their company’s curriculum for new hires, or use them as goal objectives in their staff’s annual performance reviews. Upon completion of the training program, individuals will receive a SILA-Certified certificate that they can add to their training portfolio and course accomplishments. Individuals who are SILA – Certified are set apart as competent and trained professionals in the field of financial services.
